John Harvard
John Harvard is a CPA with more than two decades of high-level accounting experience. Before starting his own firm in 2007, John gained invaluable experience working for two CPA firms in Tallahassee. Today, as a business owner himself, John advises his clients from a position of best practices as well as deep personal insight and expertise. His reputation for integrity and hard work has earned him the respect of clients ranging from large corporations and political candidates to foundations and mom-and-pop businesses throughout the region. That same level of trust and demonstrated expertise is a genuine asset to Tax Alpha Companies clients and professional partners.
John attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, where he earned a B.S. in finance and real estate in 1998 and a second BS in accounting in 2002. He is an active and engaged member of several community groups and professional organizations, including as Board Member and Finance chair with Big Bend Hospice, the Leon County Schools Foundation, the Southern Scholarship Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House. He also serves as the Tallahassee Chamber Group 6 Chairman.
In his free time, John enjoys playing golf and loves nothing more than spending time with his wife and their four children—whether it’s going to church or attending youth sports and events.
