Joe Cook

Joe Cook serves on the Board of Directors at Tax Alpha Companies. He brings more than 15 years worth of experience and strategic insights to his role with Tax Alpha Companies.

Joe’s past success in a variety of different roles in the wealth management sector is a consistent reminder of his prowess in financial management and investment strategy. He began his career in finance at Arete Wealth Management, where he served as Director of Investment Banking and Private Placements from 2008 to 2013 before being promoted to Chief Investment Officer in 2014. Joe shifted to Chief Strategy Officer within the organization a year later in 2015, a role he filled until his departure in 2018.

Joe was a foundational part of Arete Wealth Management, and vital to their early success. In addition to handling requests from FINRA and the SEC, he also played a major role in growing the company. Arete Wealth had about $750,000 in revenue during his first year with the organization, a number which had grown to over $35 million by the end of his tenure.

Joe expanded his expertise in capital finance by joining Vieste Group in a managerial role, overseeing various aspects of financial operations and client relations. He still works with Vieste Group today.

In 2021, Joe took on the role of Chief Revenue Officer at Reata Wealth, formerly Coastal One, with the goal of increasing profits via new strategic financial initiatives and income avenues. Joe’s newest venture in finance is as President at Concept Capital Markets, a role he took over in 2023.
